How to Pack for Traveling

We all have been through times of paranoia at the last moments before our departure of a trip. Did I pack everything? Do I have enough pairs of socks? Should I bring more shirts? Here are a few things to remember to always pack and to keep as a guide for your next departure needs.

Some destinations are paradise all year round

Some destinations are paradise all year round, and Rocky Point definitely makes that list! With average fall temperatures in the high 60s, it’s no wonder this getaway welcomes tourists through all seasons.

While the bustling summers in Puerto Penasco can be exhilarating and entertaining, there are several advantages to booking your next VRBO in Rocky Point during those cool autumn months instead.

1. Skip the Crowds

If you would prefer your beach vacation spent enjoying some quiet time, you need to experience Rocky Point post-summer rush. Travel in and out of the country takes less time, and the town’s traffic is lighter too. Plus, you’ll have more room for yourself on the beach, and what could be better than that?

2. Capture Better Photos

Fewer people means fewer photobomb opportunities. With lighter crowds, it’s easier to capture those great moments on camera at the local sights. You won’t have to wait around forever to get that perfect shot of Rey Del Mar or Plaza of the Mother. Plus, since there’s less traffic, you’ll have even more time to get around to all the tourist attractions in town.

3. Discounts, Discounts, Discounts

Everyone knows that the price of airline flights goes down during off-peak seasons, but did you know that restaurants and recreational activities lower their costs as well? Rent a paddleboard or kayak at a cheaper rate than you normally would in the summer. Ride through the desert on an ATV stress-free, knowing that you saved some money.

4. Get to Know the Locals

Since it’s not so hectic in the fall, it’s the perfect time for everyone to slow down and relax a bit, and that includes the locals. If you would enjoy taking the time to get to know people that call Rocky Point their home, there’s no better time of year to do that. After all, no one knows Puerto Penasco better than the locals – they’ll have the top recommendations on the best restaurants and attractions in the area.

5. Experience Something New

Perhaps best of all, by visiting Mexico in the off-season, you’ll be getting a unique adventure that few have been lucky enough to enjoy. Experience Rocky Point in ways that your friends and family have not and come back home with one of a kind stories to share!

There’s no denying Rocky Point can be popular for its night-time life. Much of the night time action is seen at the local bars and the Malecón. If you like to be around the excitement, the Malecón is definitely the place to be. Lively with people, festivities, food, piña coladas, and very often live music. If you’re looking for something that gives you day-time-vibe with night time life, you have to check out Manny’s Beach Club, or the Pitaya Bar. Both of which are right on the beach. Finding the right hotel or VRBO

You know it’s the perfect time to begin planning your next vacation, but you’re not sure how to find the best VRBO Rocky Point stay. We’ve compiled a few tips for selecting the ideal hotel destination for your getaway. First, you’ll need to ask yourself some key questions:

What’s on the vaca itinerary?

What are some activities you simply have to do while you’re in Rocky Point? Maybe you’re most looking forward to relaxing on the beach and taking in those beautiful ocean views. Or, perhaps you just can’t wait to chow down some delicious food at the local restaurants. Either way, be sure that the VRBO you choose is close to the places you want to be most. After all, no one wants to waste their precious vacation time stuck driving around.

What are the photos telling you?

Every hotel, VRBO, and Airbnb in Rocky Point should always have plenty of photos of the property. And those can tell you a lot about what to expect! How are the views? Does it look neat and clean? Will it fit all your guests? These are all essential questions you should be asking yourself when choosing a place to stay. While the photos won’t be able to tell you everything, they should give you a good idea of whether the hotel can fit your needs.

Which amenities are important to you?

Everyone knows that a relaxing vacation is only complete with access to a sparkling pool! Or, at least, that’s how we feel about it. If you’re planning a trip to Rocky Point, chances are that you’re most looking forward to soaking up the sun at the beach or by the pool. Before selecting your hotel, what are some other necessary amenities for you and your guests?

What are other people saying about that hotel?

Last but certainly not least, don’t forget to check those online reviews! To get an accurate picture of the Rocky Point VRBO, be sure to read the online feedback within the last year. This provides another excellent opportunity to check the photos that guests are uploading – does the hotel look just as clean and five-star in these candid, amateur shots? This could be a great indicator of what to expect when you arrive at your destination.

We hope that when you’re planning your next trip to Rocky Point, you’ll consider staying with us at Esmeralda Beach Resort. Here’s how to celebrate Día de los Muertos

Celebrate Día de los Muertos with friends and family. As Americans, if you enjoy Halloween, you can enjoy this celebration as well. Though the two holidays aren’t exactly the same thing, they have similarities. At Rocky Points beaches from Choya Bay to Playa Bonita, come gatherers this time of the year for Día de los Muertos. This special holiday is celebrated for four days- October 31st through November 3rd. Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is a celebration in honoring the passing of loved ones. Family and friends come together to do things like: cleaning up grave sites of their loved ones, decorating with flowers and foods. Something more known outside of the Mexican culture those might be able to recognize, are the sugar skulls. Many make these face paintings as a way of celebrating. Join in with the Mexican community and learn about the celebratory of this unique holiday.
