Here’s how to celebrate Día de los Muertos
Celebrate Día de los Muertos with friends and family. As Americans, if you enjoy Halloween, you can enjoy this celebration as well. Though the two holidays aren’t exactly the same thing, they have similarities. At Rocky Points beaches from Choya Bay to Playa Bonita, come gatherers this time of the year for Día de los Muertos. This special holiday is celebrated for four days- October 31st through November 3rd. Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is a celebration in honoring the passing of loved ones. Family and friends come together to do things like: cleaning up grave sites of their loved ones, decorating with flowers and foods. Something more known outside of the Mexican culture those might be able to recognize, are the sugar skulls. Many make these face paintings as a way of celebrating.
